Why is this result?
The initial version of the SUV, designed for the African market, participated in the testing. There are no side safety shutters in it – and this is what has become the decisive factor. Experts explained that without them, passengers can be seriously injured if they collide with a pole at low speed.
And what about Russia?
It's a completely different story. The Haval Jolion is available in six trim levels on the Russian market:
- Initial version – front airbags only;
- the other five are already equipped with side cushions and "blinds".
In other words, the problem that lowered the rating in Africa is simply irrelevant for Russian buyers, unless you choose the most basic version.
